Former FROM ZERO Bassist Denies Leaving Over Softer New Direction
August 29, 2002Former FROM ZERO bassist Rob Ruccia has rejected Internet rumors that he left the group because of the increasingly softer nature of the band's songwriting.
In a posting via the group's official web site, Ruccia stated that "I didn't leave because the music got softer. I left to pursue producing and engineering other bands. My work has offered me the opportunity to use my knowledge from being in FROM ZERO to help local bands get a better edge on what the majors want. It has me working with people like Joe Daniels (ex-LOCAL H drummer) and with James Iha with THE BLANK THEORY, DOVE TAIL JOINT and various others.
"The new FROM ZERO @#%$ is great and may my brothers in FZ have the greatest success with this next record.
"I have not quit music, and in time I will have my own album done up with a new band."
As previously reported, FROM ZERO are currently in Los Angeles recording their sophomore Arista Records CD, due at the end of the year.
